Frequently Asked Questions
What is an Adult Family Care Home?
In Florida, an Adult Family Care Home (AFCH) is a full-time, family-type living arrangement in a private home, where the provider lives in the home and offers housing, meals, and personal care for up to five residents who need help with daily living.
Is The Lighthouse Inn licensed?
Yes. Adult Family Care Homes in Florida are licensed by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). Our license number is 6907157.
How many residents live in the home?
The Lighthouse Inn is a 5-bed home, and Florida AFCHs serve up to five residents. That small size is what makes personal, family-style care possible.
How is an AFCH different from a larger assisted living facility?
An AFCH is a private home with a small number of residents and a live-in provider, so it feels more like family life than a larger facility.
What does it cost?
Monthly rates depend on room type and assessed level of care. Please see our Rates & Levels of Care section, or contact us with any questions.
Can families visit?
Yes, families are always welcome. Please contact us to arrange a visit.
